A Solar Candle Light, to never forget and to decorate.

Solar Candle Light

This is my favorite one! The solar candle light is really nice.

OK, you can use it as a memorial light or a solar eternal light, but apart for remembering our loved ones; solar powered candles will definitely give a special touch to your deck, patio, garden, windows, or even to your dining table.

Whichever the way you choose to use it, you can expect a beautiful effect.

Solar Candle Light

Solar candle lights look like real candles, without their drawback.
They will stay lit in windy or rainy nights and most importantly, the fact that they don’t generate any flame makes them very safe.
Last but not least, if like me you hate removing melted wax on furniture and clothes, a solar candle light is perfect.
Solar candles are designed to realistically reproduce the flickering flame of a real candle.
Some even imitate the shape of a candle and are made of real wax … without the melting issue!
Other models come in more traditional lantern designs that can be hooked or just placed on a table or on the floor.

Here you'll find a nice selection of solar memorial lights.

Now I’m sure you’re wondering how the flickering effect is attained…

Solar Candle Light

Like with any modern solar yard lights, the lighting effect is produced by LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).
But in this particular case, 3 LEDs are making the show.
Instead of staying constantly lighted, each LED will switch-on and off at a different time and in a random sequence, thus producing a flame-like glow.
A small electronic circuit takes care of this complex part.

Operation wise, they are similar to solar cross lights or angel solar lights.
You just have to place the solar candle light outside during daylight to allow the built-in solar cells to recharge the batteries. Here you'll find more info on solar light replacement batteries.
When night falls, a photocell will switch-on the LEDs.
At sunrise, the LEDs will switch-off automatically and the battery will begin to recharge.
On some models you can find a manual switch bypassing the photo cell.
It’s a useful option to manually activate the light at any time.

Fully charged, the solar candle can glow all night long.
No particular maintenance is required, except from replacing the rechargeable batteries of your solar candle light every 2 or 3 years.
The LEDs can last up to 100.000 hours.
Just Make sure to clean the solar cells from dust from time to time
