Outdoor Solar Lights

Solar Flood Light

Solar Flood Lights come in two flavors:

  1. Intermittent lighting – This type of solar flood light is equipped with LEDs and an infrared motion detector (PIR). When the motion detector sense a movement within the detection perimeter, it triggers the light. Usually the sensibility of the sensor can be adjusted in order to not trigger the LEDs when small animals are in the protected area. You can also adjust the lighting duration from few seconds to few minutes. This type of  solar flood light can have from 8 to 100 LEDs . Your choice will depend on the power you need and the area you wish to protect. A solar security light usually has a stand alone solar panel which can be installed away from the light fixture.
  2. Permanent lighting – This type of solar flood light operates automatically from dusk to dawn. A built-in photocell (light sensor) controls the LEDs illumination. These solar flood lights provide a powerful illumination.  Usually they are used as solar sign lights but can light any large areas. The solar flood light is very useful in places where there is no power available. They install fast and require minimum maintenance. Solar floodlights can have from 6 to 108 ultra bright LEDs.
