A solar shed light can be of good use for lighting storage sheds, greenhouse,
garage, storage area, workshop or even your attic for example.
Until recently, the only choice for providing illumination to non-powered sheds were battery lights. Solar powered
shed lights offer the best solution to isolated and dark locations. Solar lights eliminate maintenance, costs and
frequent batteries replacement associated with battery operated lights.
Some are even using them in caravans and boats. It is a practical alternative to hard wiring,
allowing to obtain lighting almost everywhere.
Wherever some occasional or additional lighting is needed, the solar shed light will find its natural
place.

It is very easy to set-up a solar powered shed light . All you have to
do is to attach the small solar panel to the wall of the shed or the house and run the supplied long cable to the
location you want your light to be installed.Simply attach the adjustable solar module on an outside wall or roof,
and run the wire to the light fixture you mount inside the shed. Just pull the chain to turn the light on and off
as needed. Fully charged the solar shed light runs up to four hours.
Like with solar security lights, before fixing the
solar panel, it is very important to choose a spot exposed to sunshine, to make sure that the solar panel will
properly do its job. If placed in the shade, the lighting performances and autonomy will not be satisfactory. Don't
forget to clean the panel from time to time. More on LED solar security lights.

During the day, the solar panel collects the energy from the sun to charge the rechargeable
batteries located inside the light fixture. Once well charged, the shed light can stay-on for long hours.
Batteries can last for a couple of years before they need to be replaced.
Unlike solar yard lights that use LEDs (Light Emitting
Diodes), solar powered shed lights use small fluorescent tubes producing a white and homogeneous illumination. The
small neons provide a sufficient amount of lighting for most small places. Recently some solar shed lights equipped
with LEDs are appearing on the market. Check our LED solar shed light with remote control.

What makes a solar shed light a so attractive option, is mainly because it does not require
any trenching to run electrical cables from the home to the shed, thus eliminating the risk and costs associated
with electricity. You also don't want to ruin your beautiful lawn just to light the shed.
